Chain responsibility
We help our clients meet their sustainability targets with technology that improves society.
To achieve this, we have formulated objectives and activities relating not only to our services, but also to our own business operations and processes. However, we cannot do this alone. As a technical services provider, we are part of a supply chain. A supply chain that is becoming increasingly complex with a network of national and international suppliers, service providers and subcontractors.
In 2011 Imtech developed its new Code of Sustainable Supply (CoSS). Both our partners in the chain as our internal organisation were thoroughly consulted in this process. Suggestions for improvement found their way to the final version that was approved December 2011 by the Executive Council.
The CoSS formulates a clear ambition on various topics like Health & Safety, Sustainability, Ethics and Labour, that Imtech wants to address together with it partners in the supply chain. For practical reasons we chose to develop one code that describes the same ideals for all Imtech divisions and all of their suppliers, worldwide. Naturally there are differences between the total of our suppliers, countries and divisions tha force us to handle our code with respect for specific situations. What is realistic to ask of one supplier, doesn’t have to be the same for the next. This enables us to use one code for the whole organisation.
Obviously, Imtech is willing to work together with our suppliers and support them to achieve compliance with this Code. As our Suppliers are generally not at the beginning of the supply chain, Imtech expects them to translate the ambition set forth in this document to their suppliers as well.
