Imtech’s Secure TAC

Imtech’s Secure TAC is a purpose-built management centre, the Imtech Secure TAC offers our customers a 24x7 support for reporting, progressing and resolving faults on our customer’s business critical network.

The staff working in the Secure TAC will utilise Communications Electronics Security Group (CESG) approved Cryptographic devices when communicating with clients requiring secure support and Imtech have also defined a number of ISO27001/2 policies, procedures and controls which have been implemented at their site. These include double airlock doors, photo id’s, proximity readers, pin devices, secure Class 4 cabinets for storage of documents and materials and secure disposal of assets and materials.

All staff who have access to the Secure TAC are BS cleared as a minimum and engineers who have access to customer systems hold SC cleared status. Imtech retain a CLAS consultant and are happy to discuss matters with CESG, the system Accreditor or SIRO as required.

What is CLAS?

CLAS is the CESG Listed Adviser Scheme - a partnership linking the unique Information Assurance knowledge of CESG with the expertise and resources of the private sector.
CESG recognises that there is an increasing demand for authoritative Information Assurance advice and guidance. This demand has come as a result of an increasing awareness of the threats and vulnerabilities that information systems are likely to face in an ever-changing world. In addition specific demand will come from:

  • departments seeking to bring their networks into line with the Government Secure Intranet (GSI) requirements
  • departments addressing emerging security requirements associated with the e-Government (Information Age Government) initiative
  • the need to safeguard the Critical National Infrastructure (CNI)
  • the Cabinet Office requirement for departments to implement the British Standard for Information Security Management: BS7799
  • making ‘government standard’ Information Assurance advice more readily available to the broader public sector (local government, the Health sector, Police Forces etc).

Imtech’s 24/7 support desk consists of a team of technical engineers trained to the highest standards on all of the products available under the Imtech portfolio, including certifications to JNCIS, JNCIP & JNCIE levels on the Juniper Networks products. Continual training takes place to ensure the technical engineers have the most up-to-date product and industry knowledge for reporting, progressing and resolving faults on our customer’s business critical network.
