    As part of a joint venture we developed the Biffa Anaerobic Digestion (AD) facility at Poplars in Staffordshire. This facility will treat an estimated 2 million tonnes of source segregated food waste over its lifetime. It will export approximately 6MW of electricity to the National Grid as renewable energy.

    We provide a wide range of innovative solutions for the utilities sector, including sustainable clean and wastewater mechanical and electrical installation. The Advanced Anaerobic Digestion plant at Howdon provides sludge treatment capacity for approximately 40,000 tonnes dry solids per year and gives Northumbrian Water a carbon saving of 20,000 tonnes of carbon a year.

    Welsh Water’s Cog Moors Stormwater UV Disinfection project was the first UV plant in the UK designed to treat stormwater flows of up to 2.38 m³/s. We worked closely with the Environment Agency to gain approval for this innovative approach.
