Farm-fresh chickens
Imtech built the largest air dryer ever for well-known German poultry farm Wiesenhof in Bogen. The products that are processed there can now be packed in drier and even more hygienic conditions. The result: farm-fresh chickens.
One of the largest poultry producers in the country is to be found in the German village of Bogen. Wiesenhof has almost six thousand members of staff and turns over 2.1 billion euro a year. Imtech (Ventilex/Imtech Drygenic) built the largest air dryer they have ever constructed in Wiesenhof’s new building project. Thanks to the dryer, this production floor can also be used to package products in exceptionally hygienic conditions.
Longer lasting
After every sixteen-hour production cycle, the area is washed down completely. Preventing the build up of condensation in the room is crucial for Wiesenhof. It ensures that chicken breasts stay fresher for longer and it prevents the growth of bacteria on the walls and ceiling. Thanks to Imtech’s dryer, the production floor is completely dry within two to three hours.
